It’s a $35 million pay cut from the $110 million guaranteed Rodgers had on his old Packers deal - the same contract he had when he was first traded to the Jets and the same contract he refused to take a pay cut on in the past.Įven without knowing the precise structure of the contract, that is not an insignificant amount of money. On Wednesday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Rodgers agreed to a new two-year, $75 million guaranteed contract that will keep him in New York through 2024. ( The same sentiment probably doesn’t apply to Jordan Love.) And after a clear gift to his new team, the New York Jets, it seems pretty apparent Rodgers is willing to go out on a limb for front offices he likes. © 2023 NYP Holdings, Inc.Aaron Rodgers may have won two MVPs in the last few years of his Green Bay Packers career, but his relationship with the organization was anything but peachy-keen. Getty ImagesĪfter the viral moment, Packer was seemingly put in a difficult position, having personal relationships with both Rock and actress Pinkett Smith, who starred in the Packer-produced hit movie “Girls Trip.” His turn running the legendary awards show was also the first time in history that an all-black production team was tasked with the job. Oscars producer Will Packer took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. Many people were quick to criticize Packer and his production team for allowing “King Richard” star Smith to stay in the audience and later accept the award for Best Actor. Smith’s slap was followed by the profanity-filled demand that Rock “keep my wife’s name out of your f–king mouth!,” as well as other celebrities - including Denzel Washington, Tyler Perry and Bradley Cooper - stepping in to help ease tensions. But I also don’t mind being transparent and say that this was a very painful moment for me. I don’t feel the need to elucidate that for you. However, the producer, who is black, wasn’t going to allow viewers to criticize him, and explained in a follow-up statement that the altercation was “very painful” for him to witness.īlack people have a defiant spirit of laughter when it comes to dealing with pain because there has been so much of it. “Making jokes about an assault that happened during your show isn’t the congratulatory message you think it is,” Twitter user Jonathan Jewel replied to Packer’s initial tweet. Smith made the move after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head, which is due to the medical condition alopecia.īut Packer’s tweet following the smackdown was not received well by social media users. “Welp … I said it wouldn’t be boring,” Will Packer, the producer of the 94th Academy Awards, tweeted Sunday night after Will Smith stormed onstage during the live show and slapped Chris Rock. The 2022 Oscars definitely packed a punch - even for its producer. Oscars 2023: The Will Smith slap one year later - a timeline Jimmy Kimmel takes swipe at Will Smith slap in 2023 Oscars opening monologue Will Smith can still get Oscar engraved but shouldn’t ‘personally come’: Academy president Will Smith blocked RuPaul cameo on ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ producer claims I would have liked to try some different ammunition in the gun to see if it had a preference for one over another, but the way things are at the gun counter right now I was lucky to get what I could. I’m not sure what kind of accuracy you might expect from a 9mm carbine such as this, but hitting things like soda cans and six-inch steel plates at fifty yards seemed pretty easy. With the Romeo and the R9 installed, we spent a good portion of the day making little piles of brass all over. Most of the PCCs I have shot in the past were blow-back designs but delayed guns like this Banshee seem to be quieter still due to their breach staying closed longer. I was shooting 124-grain supersonic ammunition so I wasn’t expecting it to be extremely quiet, but it did seem to be quieter than I expected. I had brought along my Yankee Hill Machine R9 suppressor because I knew it was up to the task and easily swapped out the muzzle threads to fit the Banshee. I am not one for making a racket, so it was time to see how this pistol would do suppressed. I collapsed the brace to better fit his little stature and off he went. He’s shot plenty of other guns so this wasn’t a big ask, but I was supremely pleased as I watched how simple it was for him to handle and manipulate the gun. My nine-year-old had come along with me, and as kids often do he started hinting at an interest in shooting the Banshee. It also makes the weapon more stable and controllable by reducing the recoil impulse with its lighter bolt carrier group. The radial delayed system of the Banshee allows greater reliability than traditional blow-back designs. And with their lighter bolt carriers, they feel much smoother in operation. The more advanced designs of the gas-operated systems don’t start operating the action until the bullet has left or nearly left the muzzle. This added to the heavy cyclic weight of the bolt increases the feeling of recoil and motion. With nothing holding the bolt closed but its weight and spring pressure, a blowback gun begins moving and opening the action as soon as the shot is fired. Heavy bolts made from blocks of steel are usually the culprit.Īnother of the complaints heard about blowback-operated guns is the recoil impulse felt by the shooter. One of the many complaints with blowback systems is the heavyweight that is typically required to hold back the bolt long enough for the bullet to get down the barrel. The Banshee utilizes CMMG’s Radial Delayed Blowback system to improve several aspects of the carbine. And still others like the old roller guns from HK utilize a different locking bolt and a gas-operated system for their legendary reliability. More advanced designs like the MPX utilize a gas system like those seen in many AR-pattern rifles for more reliable functions. It is less expensive and requires fewer parts in most cases which makes it a good option for entry-level-priced pistol caliber carbines (PCCs). This simple design operates much like a semi-auto pistol, utilizing the recoil and pressure generated at the breach of the barrel to open and cycle the action. Many of the nine-millimeter carbines on the market today are of the blowback type. Other features such as custom furniture and six different Cerakote colors to choose from put the Banshee on many shooters’ want list. The overall length of the pistol is just under twenty-one inches, making the Banshee Mk4 a very mobile and handy weapon. A pistol brace is mounted at the back on the buffer tube and using both 60 alloys for the upper and lower receiver help keep the weight of this little pistol down to four-point-seven pounds. The CMMG Banshee is a nine-millimeter AR-style pistol, it features a five-inch Chromoly barrel with a 1-10 twist. Operating System Radial Delayed Blowback. The atoms interact strongly with the circuit's electric fields, allowing detection and demodulation of any signal received into the circuit. Researchers excite Rubidium atoms to high-energy Rydberg states. "This is a really important step toward proving that quantum sensors can provide a new, and dominant, set of capabilities for our Soldiers, who are operating in an increasingly complex electro-magnetic battlespace." Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, now known as DEVCOM, Army Research Laboratory. "All previous demonstrations of Rydberg atomic sensors have only been able to sense small and specific regions of the RF spectrum, but our sensor now operates continuously over a wide frequency range for the first time," said Dr. The Rydberg atoms are sensitive to the circuit's voltage, enabling the device to be used as a sensitive probe for the wide range of signals in the RF spectrum. The Rydberg sensor uses laser beams to create highly-excited Rydberg atoms directly above a microwave circuit, to boost and hone in on the portion of the spectrum being measured. Using NVMe SSDs connected directly to the CPU, Intel VROC enables optimized RAID configurations that approach many of the theoretical maximums explored above.Army researchers built the quantum sensor, which can sample the radio-frequency spectrum-from zero frequency up to 20 GHz-and detect AM and FM radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication signals. Furthermore, Intel VROC is a hybrid RAID solution that delivers RAID functionality to the NVMe. Each RAID level offers a trade-off between redundancy, performance, and cost. This document can be used to pick the right RAID level for specific storage needs. Understanding RAID fundamentals is critical to properly evaluating a storage solution. In Windows, due to Intel VROC RAID Engine efficiency IOPS numbers are currently limited to: Sometimes this is due to the impact that the OS has on Intel VROC. In some cases, Intel VROC performance doesn't meet the theoretical limits explained in the section above. In such cases, an explanation will be provided later in this document. In fact, some of these numbers may not be achievable in real-world settings due to hardware or software limitations. RAID mathematical models define the maximum theoretical performance of RAID systems, not including limitations imposed by hardware or software. Target audienceĭata Center Administrators, Architects, and Managers Storage Performance Testers Server Platform Manufacturers. We'll look at OS limitations, SSD architecture, and more. In the future, we'll explain why any performance deltas exist between Intel VROC and the theoretical maximums caused by the Intel VROC RAID engine. We'll see how Intel® VROC’s performance compares to the theoretical maximums laid out. We'll explore how Intel VROC implements these RAID levels in an actual product. By understanding the underlying I/O process, we can understand the theoretical performance maximum for each RAID level. Our goal is to highlight those storage patterns for RAID levels 0/1/10/5 and explain how each pattern affects the performance of the storage solution. Each RAID level processes storage I/O in a different manner and stores data in a specific pattern across a set of RAID member disks. RAID storage solutions provide users with a combination of data protection and performance acceleration. Note: PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader*. I drove it approximately once a year in a 5 mile parade in the summer time in Ohio. But seldom do you also find such a well preserved/restored. It also has an LED for each so you can see from the outside of the vehicle which relays the system is trying to activate which should be pretty useful for tracking down problems with limit switches and such. 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Additional Info: I have owned this Thunderbird since 2008. The remote has a button for each relay function (lock, unlock, deck up, deck down, panel extend, panel retract, top up, top down). The remote itself should be disconnected when not in use to avoid accidental operation. The remote cables can be tucked under the back seat. This includes boards to replace both banks of relays, all mounting hardware, a remote control, and cables to connect the boards to the remote control. Almost three years in and I finally have a small number of production convertible top controllers, as discussed in this thread: The initial setup was painful and required some back-ed programming to support the way in which I wanted the Support Center page layout to appear. I like most everything about the HappyFox Help Desk and HappyFox Chat applications. The Support Team spent many hours coaching me through this process to achieve a very useful set of tools for our customers. When I originally set up Helpdesk I was a novice in how each part fit together to create a whole solution with meaningful KB, Ticketing, Categories, and Automation. I am an administrator in a small company and decidedly not a programmer. The most important feature about HappyFox is the support that the team provides 24/7. Adopting Helpdesk has allowed me to share a complete support picture over time to the developers and administrators that keep us on track to achieve the 100% customer satisfaction with the support process that our customers are currently reporting, based on the automated after-action customer survey. If you are going to read it, respond.īefore choosing HappyFox Helpdesk, our support team had no way to quantify the issues, pain points, and feature requests other than anecdotally in team meetings. Great looking product Good website Good information CONSīad customer service Ridiculous email response times Failure to have a negative feedback process in place Happyfox treat you like your just another sale Undervalue you as a customer Generic responses Impersonal service (When you actually receive it) Mail track is a wonderful tool which enables you to know when someone reads your email. So instead of responding to our FB message, direct email, email to support and even a LinkenIn message that have chosen to completely ignore us. Or if it does, then a action plan is in place. Its an area we can potentially improve so the issue doesn't arise. Its an imperative part of development that you dont want to hear, but when someones offering constructive feedback our ears as owners are open. As a business owner we grow as a business when someone leaves negative feedback. We contacted the head of sales and requested the details of whom we could lodge a complaint to. As a potential new client, you are left under valued, like your just another sale. Which would be great usually, however we clearly put together a implementation plan for the HEAD of sales to read through. Not only was the response incredibly late, the response itself as mentioned was generic and a completely erratic response offering a free trial. If any of our consultants in anyone of our businesses responded to a potential client 10 days after the initial enquire, I would most definitely say they are not cut out for sales. 10 days later, now for a communication platform alarm bells are RINGING. Response: 10 days later, we received a generic email, that was a response from the head of sales that clearly hadn't read our email. We sent a business email outlining research, potential opportunities for both businesses and also a implementation strategy for rolling out happyfox. We contacted Happyfox regarding implementing Desk and Chat for our the two directors in one of our businesses. Having a platform like happyfox is an imperative part of owning a sales based business. About us: We own 3 sales based businesses and are share holders major in another 2, now Happyfox do not know that we own several businesses, nor do they know that we are looking for a platform to roll out across the entire brand. We have had a most unfortunately experience with Happyfox, We contacted them as their product suited our requirements. No need for war with so much empty universe to claim. It's all about exploring space and its endless opportunities, shaping it to your whim and developing it to its full potential. The game is more relaxed than your typical grand strategy. There is no military aspect to pull your focus away from the economy. Make long-term plans and bask in your own glory when that one last connection makes six planets upgrade at the same time and gives you the income you desperately need. Line everything up just right and watch your colonies evolve and grow, giving you even more options for profitable trade. MAKE TRADE, NOT WARColonize planets, carefully pick industries and hook everything up so that your planets support each other. The result is a unique blend of the strategy and puzzle genres in which you can finish a run quickly, but still have a deep experience full of tough decisions. However, the limited move set, time limit, and amount of determinism that is present once you have things revealed makes it more of a puzzle than a conventional strategy game.About This Game Slipways takes the space grand strategy genre and condenses the best parts of it down by throwing away all the micromanagement and the steep learning curve. This uncertainty makes it more of a strategy than a pure puzzle game is. Especially when you are playing a fresh seed, you are having to manage uncertainty and risk, and you will generally have to adapt to situations as they develop. Unlike a puzzle there isn’t really one “correct solution” that can be reasoned out from the beginning. So while it does hurt to have that at the end of game, its not totally debilitating to have a couple worlds in the red from the start.Īs for puzzle vs strategy, I think it is more or less both. Sure making 6 mines in a circle without the ability to get people to them from what you can see may hurt your econ now, but getting that huge pile of science can easily be worth it later.Īlso, the happiness penalty from shortages does have a cap, at 8% per world. Labs also give a lot of incentive to take risks. Late game techs give you far more power to resolve hard to handle configurations, and understanding that helps change the thought process from “will this planet be able to get what it needs” to “is colonizing this planet now worth having to drag it around until I can deal with it later”. Sure you may have a bunch of planets stuck in the middle of nowhere that have shortages now, but eventually you can get stuff like hyperdrives, teleporters, etc. The most important thing to remember is that tech covers many sins. In nearly all other strategy games, I'm always excited to play one more turn, to see what happens In Slipways, committing to any move at all feels like digging myself deeper into a hole I know I probably can't get out of later. I find myself frustrated by this way more frequently than I'd like. It's less about "how do I best get what I need next?" and more "what's the only configuration of colonies that works at all?" Now of course other strategy games have some strict rules as well, but Slipways feels like it's entirely built upon such rules. Slipways doesn't punish you for bad decisions, it outright disallows you from making them at all. This feels less like strategy, and more like a puzzle game. You can only build very specific things in very specific locations. In Slipways, the decisions and consequences are very binary. There's freedom and expression in your strategy. Building the factory near the coal makes it more efficient, but you CAN build it far away. In most strategy games I enjoy, you can pretty much build anything, anywhere, and the games' systems punish you for bad placements in a soft, gradual sort of way. This leaves many users within an organization unable to view Visio documents that have been created for them, unless each file is printed or saved into another format, such as PDF, XPS, or published as a web page. Visio Online viewer can now be used to view native Visio files that are stored in SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business, but there are many organisations that are not able to take advantage of this capability for financial, technological or security reasons. Microsoft SharePoint on Premise users may be more fortunate, if they have an Enterprise Client Access License, because they can view some later Visio files stored on SharePoint using a web browser via the Visio web Access control in a web part. Certainly, there is no ability to see the shape data, or the multiple hyperlinks, that may be locked into each shape. Microsoft Outlook users may have noticed that a Visio document viewer is available to view Visio documents received as email attachments, however there is little that can be done apart from viewing the graphics.
